Can you suggest any business ideas for 2010?
Yes, check out the business ideas section of this website, it’s full of business ideas that you can implement in 2010, or 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and almost certainly even in 2015 and beyond!
Seriously, just because it’s January and a new year has rolled around, nothing has magically changed overnight. Business is still fundamentally the same. Sure each year some businesses become less relevant as they get left behind in the ‘gales of creative destruction’ that Joseph Schumpeter wrote about, but most don’t.
As always the right business for 2010 (or 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and beyond) is one that provides a product or service that a customer wants or needs at a price they can afford.
Sure by 2015 loading mp3’s onto iPod’s might no longer be a viable business (i.e. we all move to a new format and/or something else replaces the iPod) but people will still need the basic service, converting music from one format to another and loading it onto a storage device.
In other words, whilst the execution of a business idea might change from year to year, the business idea itself probably won’t change anywhere near as much.
