A reader asks:
I have been debating whether starting a business is the right thing for me. Any advice?
I’ve no idea if starting a business is right for you and nor does anyone else, not even you!
So why not start one now and find out. It’s the only way you’ll ever know. Just make sure that when you do start your own business you have a read through my article How To Start A New Business and pay particular attention to the concept of fail fast, fail cheap. Then if running your own business isn’t for you, you can walk away having lost little, if any money but having gained some knowledge and experience you can put on your CV.
So stop thinking about it and just do it!
Asking John:
Do you have a business question you would like me to answer? If so you can Ask John or or you can ask on the forums where you’ll get both my input and that of your fellow entrepreneurs.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.

Totally agree on fail fast fail cheap.
Little investement, and test everything every step of the way. If something is not working, change it. If it still doesn’t work, ditch it.
Businesses grow over time, after many mistakes.
