I finally watched Syed Ahmed’s Hot Air last night. It was an interesting program, but frustratingly they didn’t stick with it to the end, we were left wondering if Syed has managed to make it work or not. I have my doubts.
Overall I really couldn’t see the point of his dryer, gym towels, as Duncan Bannatyne explained to Ahmed are just not that much of a problem. On top of the fact that the demand is questionable, there’s established competition with more or less the same offering.
Ahmed’s sales technique still hasn’t changed from his appearance on The Apprentice, it’s still the “baffle them with bull” approach and Simon Woodruff of Yo! took him to task on it, not that he seemed to be listening to the advice.
I was planning to write a full summary, however there’s a brilliant and funny write up that I couldn’t hope to better on this blog.
I wonder why Ahmed doesn’t stick to his recruitment business Magenta Partnerships I have no doubt that he could excel as an IT recruitment agent and build a very successful business there, rather like James Caan the new Dragon did.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.
