Getting paid to take part in surveys is nothing new, however with the advent of the Internet it’s possible to find more surveys to take part in and generate a small but regular income from them.
Generally the surveys (the legitimate ones at least) are conducted by market research companies. So they will want you to complete a short section about yourself so they can determine your profile – after all there’s no point asking you for your opinions about ladies cosmetics if you’re a red blooded 20 year old bloke! The information will be kept confidential.
Typically you should expect to make around six pound (twelve dollars) per hour filling in surveys.
Be warned that paid surveys are unfortunately an area targeted by scammers, if it sounds too good to be true, or you’re asked to pay to take part/register then it’s probably not legitimate, so take care and check them out carefully if you’re still tempted to go ahead.
This post is part of my Internet business opportunities series.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.

I’ve taken part in surveys on and off for a year now and although a good opportunity if your wanting a little extra cash they are not going make you wealthy. Those that make a good income put a lot of time and effort into surveys and are registered with hundreds of companies but if that doesn’t sound like you then I recommend you just see it as an opportunity to earn a little extra pocket money.
