Good question Asako. I can’t speak for startup weekends but my experience is similar to yours, lots of people talk about it, but few actually do it.

Interesting. I have done this kind of work sessions in B-School (yes, I have an MBA), and in some business training seminars, etc. I agree after a few days, we got a lot of good ideas and came out with a sort of a plan. The issue has been what happens to them afterwards. I find people like myself who is seriously thinking to pursue one is very rare. Most cases, all go back to their normal lives.

Do you see the similar issue with this Startup Weekend?

I’ve love to, but unfortunately I’m already busy that weekend.

I’ll have a think about organising a Bath one for the new year though…
