With the hype surrounding property investment and property development in recent years the subject has increasingly become of interest to a wide range of novices all looking for advice. This presents a business opportunity for those with experience and expertise in the property business.

Getting started is easy if you have the expertise. All you need to do is compile your knowledge into a book, seminar or course or some combination of all three and market it. Marketing can be range from relatively simple (start posting in property business forums) to a nationwide set of press and radio advertisements.

Your first step would be to examine the offerings of some of the more successful property experts including Ajay Ahuja, Glenn Armstrong, Ranjan Bhattacharya, Mark Harrison and Parmdeep Vadesha then to take a look at some of the property courses offered, for example Beware The Sharks and Inside Track.

From what I know of these courses many of them focus on making money through a particular strategy, but none properly explain the day to day operational issues or the risks involved in property business and how to manage them. Admittedly it’s not as sexy an offering to be selling but there might well be a demand.

As an alternative you can set about becoming a presenter on a TV show much like Sarah Beeny and Gary McCausland although there’s very few opportunities and a number of well known personalities in them already.
