Last week I took part in the Litemind group writing project. All the entries have now been submitted so it’s time to vote. There were a number of great entries but as always I favour any that are business related.
Here is my top three:
- No Cost Business Tools: 37 Free Applications That Make Your Life Easier, Free of Charge – Ever since I finally lost my patience with Microsoft when on getting a new Vista laptop I found it far too hard to get my printer going and that I can’t use the copy of Office XP that I paid good money for on Vista as it’s not fully compatible. I’ve been moving over to free/open source alternatives (Firefox, Thunderbird and Open Office). I’m now a convert and won’t be going back, it’s not just that they’re free, it’s that they are SO MUCH CHEAPER because I don’t waste nearly as much time as I did with Microsoft software. So go grab some good free software to run your business on.
- 100 Ways To Promote A Startup – They don’t just apply to startups so if you need some new ideas on how to promote your business pop over there and have a read.
- 8 Habits of Highly Successful Salespeople – Without sales a business will fail. Here are eight simple tips that will help you become a better salesman.
That’s not to say my own post The Top Ten Internet Business Ideas isn’t good, it’s just that as a reader of my blog you’ve probably already read it.

This blog is about business opportunities and ideas that I spot, think of or hear about and think are useful and interesting. It is intended to provide ideas and inspriation for you to help you find the right business idea for you to then grow it into a successful business.
