The Meal, Ready-to-Eat, or MRE is a self-contained, individual field ration in lightweight packaging used by the US military for its service-members for use in combat or other field conditions where canteen facilities are not available. It contains everything needed to feed a soldier, including a drink, starter, main course, desert, eating utensil and a heater to warm the food.

As feeding our son on the move is something we’re currently learning about, it seems to me that there might be an opportunity for one of the manufactures of baby food to offer more than just the food, perhaps including with it a simple way to warm the food, cleaning wipes and a disposable sterile bib and spoon all in a “Baby MRE”. It might well be something that parents on the move and away from home are interested in. What do you think? Are there already products like it?
