Lets face it unless you’re a professional salesperson selling is not something that many of us enjoy. We’d rather be thought of as solicitors, web designers, business consultants and so on, who sell when we have to rather than salespeople who do law, web development or consult after we’ve sold. Richard Denny show us how to sell like the later without feeling like we’ve compromised our integrity.

There’s all the usual tips you’d expect in a sales book:

  • cold calling,
  • how to make an appointment,
  • how to meet the decision maker,
  • delivering a presentation,
  • overcoming objections.

There’s also some great tips on managing your time so that time spent selling productive. All of which are presented in a simple manner. His practical approach to selling with no smoke and mirrors or faddy closing techniques is quite refreshing.

Denny himself is a successful businessman whose business offers training on selling, leadership, management, customer care and business growth. On top of that he’s a motivational speaker and author of several other books on the topics of motivation and sales.

It’s a great book on sales, and ideal if you’re in sales, but don’t regard yourself as a salesperson.
