As well as my love of fast cars and driving experience days, I love classic cars and I own a lovely 1979 MG Midget (below) and I’ve taken part in the excellent Medip Tour classic car run for the last few years.
However like most car owners I’m always keen to try new (different) cars, especially at this time of year, so I was delighted to see hear about a new business thats started up barely a mile from me in Dilton Marsh. They offer classic and kit car hire, their current cars are a Triumph Stag, Robin Hood Lotus Type 7, Fiat Barchetta, Tiger Cat and Fiat X1/9. The business is Country Kit & Classic Car Hire.
I think it’s a great business idea (and not just because I want a play) as where else can you hire these types of cars? I believe they’ve found a nice little niche. From a business perspective I expect the cars are also a lot cheaper to run than say a Lotus Elise or Ferrari, meaning costs can be kept to a minimum.
