The more I read and research about fitness (I just can’t do anything without reading as much as I can about the subject) the more and more business opportunities and ideas I come across. Previously I wrote about opening a gym and the hundred pushups website. Today it’s skipping for fitness. I have to admit skipping has never really been my thing, probably because on the few occasions I’ve tried I’ve been utterly rubbish at it! However it’s long been a staple of boxing training and has become increasingly popular amongst the keep fit crowd who tell me that there are many benefits to skipping.

As a result it seems that there’s now quite an interest in skipping to/keep get fit. Where there’s a growing interest there’s normally a business opportunity and sure enough, I came across skip-hop.co.uk which sells skipping ropes and training – they’re looking for new skipping coaches across the country so the business is probably growing – and might well be quite recession proof given they are targeting the education market. As a business you’re not limited to one market either, there’s several markets into which you can sell: education, corporate and the general fitness market. So plenty of potential for growth.
