The hit “business” show The Apprentice (UK) returns for it’s 5th season tonight at 9pm on BBC One, followed at 10pm by The Apprentice: You’re Fired! on BBC Two. Set your videos or plan your evening now!
Much as I hate the show for the terrible image it portrays of business and business people I just can’t help watching and getting caught up in the excitement.
So what can we expect? Well, the first task is starting a cleaning business, there’s a sneak peak offered on the BBC’s iPlayer:
So who else is keeping an eye on it? Well, The Mirror reports that that some of the candidates were a little unsure of their business terminology during the auditions. They were asked what a “loss leader” is many of them didn’t know. Apparently neither Lorraine Tighe, nor Majid Nagra had a clue and Mona Lewis, guessed: “Is it someone who leads something to a loss?”.
Meanwhile the 16th contestant – who isn’t listed as an apprentice candidate – because he bottled out the evening before the show has told The Sun that he “knew he would have won”. After you’re read who the candidates are, who do you think will win? The bookies currently favour Ben Clarke.
The remaining candidates got to enjoy a rather nice penthouse apartment based on the photo’s that Digital Spy and The Guardian have.
So will you be watching?
