The picture on the right is of our dog, Otis (named after Otis Reading, not the company that makes lifts). He’s a boxer, and at the time of the photo was only four months old. He’s now approaching three years old, but still just as cute, curious and energetic.
We’ve had him since he was a mere 11 weeks old. Sadly none of the toys we brought him when he was a puppy have survived, sooner or later, usually sooner (i.e. within hours of him getting hold of them) most toys are reduced to a pile of chewed pieces. Which is frustrating, you’d have thought that manufactures of dog toys, especially chew toys for dogs, would realise that dogs are going to chew them! And would therefore make them strong enough to survive at least a few days of being chewed.
So I think there’s a business opportunity here, almost certainly not one that’ll make you a millionaire, but one that perhaps could provide a nice income or an additional product line for an existing manufacturer: indestructible dog toys. Yes, I know they’d cost more to make and yes I realise that as they would be indestructible we wouldn’t have to keep buying new ones, but I for one would be prepared to pay a fair bit more for an indestructible dog toy. I reckon Otis would be happier too, he hates it when we have to throw away his toys because they’re becoming hazardous.

Good news. There are plenty already on the market. And some bad news – as someone who has always had boxers I’m sorry to say Otis will never grow up!
